MediSend International Welcomes Mary Logan to Its Advisory Board of Directors


Mary Logan photo.jpgMediSend International is extremely proud to announce that Mary Logan, JD, CAE has joined the MediSend Advisory Board of Directors. Logan’s experience and position will be invaluable in assisting MediSend in promoting international certification, raising standards and sharing leading practices with hospital systems worldwide.

Prior to taking the reins as President of the Arlington, Virginia- based Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) in April 2009, Logan served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the American Dental Association in Chicago, where she was responsible for the operational management of the organization and oversaw all strategic and fiscal planning. Earlier in her career, Logan served as the ADA’s General Counsel and as General Counsel for the global finance and administrative arm of The United Methodist Church.

In May 2010, MediSend and AAMI formed a partnership to help promote medical device standards and increase educational opportunities in developing and emerging countries. The organizations have recently launched a joint project, Partners in Hope, designed to connect the global biomedical community with MediSend biomedical equipment trainees from Haiti.

Rene Dahan, Chairman of Royal Ahold and retired Executive Vice President of Exxon Mobil Corporation, General Richard B. Myers, Ex-Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Mary Jo Myers, and Jane Goodall, PhD., DBE, Founder of The Jane Goodall Institute & UN Messenger of Peace, also serve on MediSend’s Advisory Board of Directors.
