MediSend International Names Dr. Costel Rizescu Vice-President of Biomedical Technologies

costel-headshot.jpgDallas, TX. May 24, 2011— Medisend International has named Costel Rizescu, PhD, to the position of Vice-President of Biomedical Technologies. Dr. Rizescu has been with Medisend for six years, currently serving as Director of the Medisend Biomedical Technologies School™. He holds a Master of Science in Nuclear Physics Engineering and a PhD in Physics, and has over twenty years of experience in biomedical engineering with an extensive background in nuclear medicine.

Nick Hallack and Dr. Rizescu have worked together since 2005 to design and build Medisend’s Biomedical Technologies School. Dr Rizescu was instrumental in designing the MediSend Biomedical Repair Training Program™ curriculum and Medisend’s state-of-the art biomedical repair and training laboratories, funded by ExxonMobil. He and Hallack continue to develop innovative programs for the Medisend Global Education Center™.

Medisend’s unmatched training is making transformational and sustainable changes to hospitals throughout the developing world. Since 2007, trainees from around the globe have attended the Medisend Biomedical Technologies School. Dr. Rizescu and his team of instructors have trained professional biomedical technicians for developing country hospitals in countries such as Angola, Chad, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, Papua New Guinea, India, Haiti and Kazakhstan, many the first such professionals in these countries.
